Praying for Javier and Maria during our last few hours in Santiago, Chile…. We met them during the surf contest in Pichilemu, they had heard Shaun share a testimony of Christ’s love and came over to thank him. Javi had recently given his life to Christ and was freed from a devastating drug addiction. He and his beautiful girlfriend Maria were interested in pursuing God, but had not found a place to really grow. Over the course of the following weeks we became great friends with them.  Shaun, Jess and our Chilean missionary friends, Nate & Cole Anderson, were able to meet with them often and teach them more about life with Christ. Eventually Maria ended up asking Jesus into her heart as well. She said that the moment she did it she felt overwhelming peace, like her heart had been opened. She could feel the love of her Heavenly Father. Just around the time we left Pichilemu to go to Santiago, they also went back to Santiago for university, so we were able to hang out with them for a couple of days during our week there. As a team we truly cherish our friendship with them and are so grateful to have witnessed God’s awesome power in their lives.

We are back in California!!

Thank you to those of you who have been following our outreach! We returned home this past Saturday and have spent our week debriefing along with the rest of the DTS. Graduation for the DTS will be this Saturday, March 17th, at 5:00pm here at the Youth With a Mission Campus. Please come join us!

The last few days Shaun has been teaching in the Surf DTS here in Pichilemu. He taught 2 sessions on God’s design for Relationships and two sessions on Evangelism & the Great Commission. He was also asked to speak tomorrow night in the Community Meeting here on the YWAM base. Please be praying for him! Also please pray for us to finish strong as we only have a few days left of outreach! “Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.” Psalm 73:25-26 NIV
